The daughter of the late Isaiah Hancock, Jr. and late Corrine Weitman Hancock, she was born and raised in Savannah. Cheryl was a Chatham County School Bus Driver and was known by “CC”. Cheryl enjoyed arts and crafts and loved sewing.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Jackie and Amanda Carter; a son, George Carter, III all of Statesboro; a sister, Tyra Lynn of Bloomingdale; a brother, Daylon Hancock (Donna) of Savannah; several nieces, a nephew, other family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Elkins Cemetery on Highway 204.
