Mr. Jimmie L. Roberts, age 77, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. Roberts was born September 8, 1942 in Martinsburg, Indiana the son of James W. Roberts and Edith Newlon Roberts. He graduated from Pekin High School and holds a Master’s Degree from Indiana University. Jim attended Canton United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran. Jim retired from Social Security Administration and also worked for Clark Security.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose Ann Walton Roberts. He is also survived by a son: Mark James Roberts (Michelle) of Salem, a daughter: Lee Ann Terronez (Al) of Grayslake, Illinois, nine grandchildren: James, Ashley, and Lexia Roberts, Nick, Jeff, Ben and Tyler Terronez, and Devin and Trevor Bastin, one precious great-grandson: Jeffrey Jr. Terronez. Also surviving is one sister: Maxine Stewart of Rushville, Indiana, one brother: John C. Roberts of Salem, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Linda Foster.
