Edmund Eby was the son of Isaac M. and Elizabeth (née Bergey) Eby.

The 1891 Census of Canada shows that Edmund, his parents, and six siblings lived in Wallace Township, Ontario. By the time of the 1901 census, Edmund and his family lived in Hanover, where he was employed as a chair maker. (A few furniture factories were located in or near Hanover at that time.)

On January 17, 1906, Edmund, age 23, married Auguste Laschatzki, age 22, in Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario. Auguste was the daughter of John and Henrietta (Schrewski) Laschatzki. She was born in Berlin, Germany. (Surname is recorded as Leschetzki or Schatzke is some records.)

The 1911 census find Edmund, Auguste, and two children living in Hanover. Again, Edmunds occupation is given as “chair maker.”

Edmund and Auguste has three known children:
- Albert (Bert), born March 26, 1906
- Viglas? (daughter), born June 1907
- Isaac Henry, born October 26, 1911

Edmund died in 1959. His wife’s burial location is unknown.
