Singer, musician. A well known figure on the British rock & roll circuit for almost fifty years, he is best remembered as bass player and on-stage right hand man to Screaming Lord Sutch with whose band, The Savages, he appeared on and off for most of his career. With Sutch and as a solo artist, he recorded numerous sessions at Joe Meek's groundbreaking independent studio in London's Holloway Road in the 1960's, including his much sought after first solo 45, "I've Seen Such Things". After parting company with Meek, he appeared with The Crusaders, Rupert's People, Glass Menagerie, The Flying Saucers and The Shakers as well as providing session back up live and in the studio for stars such as Gene Vincent and Billy Fury. Since the death of Screaming Lord Sutch in 1999 he concentrated on his solo career, most recently issuing his self-composed CD "The Rebel's Got Soul" and appearing in the short film "Fish Eye". Cause of death: Heart failure
