She was born in Alamance County on August 16, 1933 to the late Joseph P. Mapp and Estella C. Mapp, both deceased.

Mother Susie started on her Christian experience at New Covenant United Holy Church under the leadership of Rev. Elroy Lewis in 1967. She was head of the Usher Board, served on the Kitchen Committee and on the Missionary Circle under the leadership of Bishop Love. Then in the 1980’s, she was blessed to make the march when the church relocated from Richmond Avenue to Apple Street under the leadership of Bishop Harry Cohen. Later, at True Holiness Church of Faith, under the leadership of Pastor Jean Moore, she there too, served on the Kitchen Committee. Mother Susie found her lasting church home at Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church under the leadership of Bishop Greg Hargrave where she was Mother of the Church. There she was not on any official board but was a part of whatever she could find her hands to do; whether it was in the kitchen, missionary and whatever she was asked.

Mother Susie Pearl Moore leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Minister Diane Jeffries (Ronnie), Jessie Mapp, Sharda Moore; sons, Bishop Anthony Moore, Robert Dark, Tavarius Moore, Raheem Moore. Grandchildren; Minister Ronnie Jeffries (Carissa), Latosha Goodwin, Minister Tamara Harbor (Jacque), Caleb Mapp, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
