Larry Lynn Carr, 74, of Barry, passed away peacefully at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, on March 18, 2020. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Larry was born on April 2, 1945, in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Buna Alvin Carr and Alta Mae Conant Carr. Larry and his twin brother, Harry Lee Carr were participants in a twin study that followed them through their young lives and on into adulthood. He worked at Fullerton’s Grocery Store while in junior high and high school. Larry graduated from Corsicana High School in 1963. He attended Navarro College and worked at the Corsicana Highway Department.

In 1965, Larry married Carolyn Ann Adcock and they moved to the Arlington/Fort Worth area where they could continue their educations. Larry received his Bachelor of Business from Texas Christian University. While attending Texas Christian University, Larry worked for Xerox Corporation and became the youngest Regional Manager of the Southwest Division at the age of 28.

After retiring from Xerox Corporation, Larry worked with his in-laws, Elmer and Amy Lou Adcock, at the Furniture Barn in Corsicana. Larry and Carolyn made their home in Barry, Texas. Larry fought failing health for 28 years.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Ann Carr; daughter, Johnna K Carr; grandson, Bryce Ross McKee II; granddaughter, Brianna Rachel McKee; great-granddaughter, Rowan Evie McKee; and great-grandson, Elias Claude McKee.
