Samuel Henry Edmunds, a 1919 graduate of Sumter County High School and a prominent Charleston Attorney and the namesake of one of Sumter's most noted educators, died Sunday in Charleston after a long illness. He was 67. Funeral services will be held in St. Andrews' Parish Episcopal Churchyard. Mr. Edmunds was born in Sumter, the son of the late Samuel Henry Edmunds, former superintendent of Sumter schools and for whom Edmunds High School is named, and Eliza Champion Davis.
