Lorraine M. Nelson, age 88, of Peshtigo, WI, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Rennes West of Peshtigo, WI, with her family at her side. She was born on June 4, 1931, to the late Fred and Jennie (Potier) Baribeau in Menominee, MI and graduated from Marinette High School in 1949.
Lorraine married Robert Nelson on July 30, 1949 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marinette, Wis.; he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2014.
She worked for many years at Sears & Roebuck.
Lorraine is survived by sons: Wayne (Vanessa) Nelson of Bellefontaine, Ohio and David (Barbara) Nelson of Peshtigo, WI;
daughters: Nancy Sallee (Ken) of Oconto, WI and Donna (Mark) Stanke of Marinette, WI;
nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;
a brother Francis Baribeau;
sister Florence Beland;
and son-in-law Ken O'Leary of Valders, Wis.
In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her daughter Linda O'Leary ; two brothers: Fred and Joseph; and a sister Evelyn Baribeau.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m.
