Nancy Barber, 84, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Point Pleasant, N.J., died Thursday, June 30, 2016, in a local health care facility.
She was a retired RN and enjoyed gardening, art, classical music and deep sea fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lt. Cmdr. John Weston Brennan and Janet Hirst Brennan.
She is survived by her children: Dr. Jean Barber (John Blau) of New York City and the Rev. Dr. Mark Barber (Elsilynn) of Ooltewah; two brothers: Dr. James K. Brennan (Sally) of Clearwater Beach, Fla., and John W. Brennan of Plains, Ga.; and special friends: Dr. Irving and Jane Bentsen of Geneva, N.Y.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the McDonald United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Terril Littrell and the Rev. Dr. Mark Barber presiding.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the McDonald United Methodist Church, 4836 South Lee Highway, McDonald, TN 37353, for use in the community women’s ministry.
Ministers are invited to be honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements were made by Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
