Linda is a common name among women born during the time she was born, but one could never define her as common. When I think of her, I thin of FIERCE. Linda was quite the opposite of common. She loved fiercely! Everything she did, she did well, with passion and commitment. That is the reason she succeeded in a variety of careers. Her family knows without a doubt that they are loved! And we loved her! Her family was her world. Anyone in her family can attest when it came down to it, Granny had their back. She was a rock!! Like at the jetty at Ponce Inlet. No matter what storms came our way, she was there. She held the ground. She remained. She was there. Encourager, Backer, Dependable, Supporter. She was truly a Proverbs woman. Her children and grandchildren will call her blessed. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Proverbs 29. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Her blessed? We are and were blessed beyond measure to have someone in our corner like Linda May. Thinking back to anything difficult in the lives of our family; who was the person who was always there? Linda, Mom, Granny. She did not just say I am here but really was there. She was there, but not just sitting there; taking action, making it better. Any storm or waves that life threw our way. There, just like that rock at the jetty that she always had to touch when she walked on the beach. Always there. Encouraging, supporting and doing whatever she could to find a way. Whatever she did, she did with passion, persistence and she was not resting until she accomplished it. We rise and call her blessed. We do call her blessed but we also call ourselves blessed because she was our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend. We are who we are because of her . We are better because of her... We are stronger because of her... We are because of her...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -Joh 3:16
