Vicki Renee Bennett, age 64, of Black River, Michigan, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at University Hospitals, Ann Arbor, MI. She was born August 2, 1955 in Westland, MI, daughter of Eugene Lloyd & Irma Marguerite (Wert) Schulz, Sr.
Vicki is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Robert Bennett, five brothers: Eugene (Kathy) Schulz, Jr. of Jerome, MI, Larry (Pam) Schulz of Monroe, MI, Randy (Linda) Schulz of Canton, MI, Keith (Samantha) Schulz of Onaway, MI and Jeff (Patty) Schulz of Willis, MI; one sister LaRita Bearden of Ypsilanti, MI, also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, also two nephews: Scott Schulz and Jason Bearden.
Vicki and Bob moved from Pittsfield Township to the Alpena area about 12 years ago. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Ypsilanti. She enjoyed crocheting, walking in the woods, kayaking, gardening: flower and vegetables; canning food and cooking. She was an excellent cook. Vicki also loved to travel.
To honor her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded to David C. Brown Funeral Home, Belleville, MI.
A Memorial Celebration of her life is being planned for July 1, 2020. More information will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004, and would be appreciated.
