Charles Wesley "Wes" Childress, 85, of Glen Rose, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020. Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2020, Squaw Creek Cemetery.
Wes was born on March 23, 1934 in Manchester, Texas to Oscar and Mary Childress. He married Jacquelyn "Jackie" Sue Henley on November 16, 1954. He retired from Lockheed Martin after many years of dedicated service. He attended Glen Rose Church of Christ.
Wes was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he cherished time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wes is survived by his loving wife of 65 years: Jackie Childress, daughters: Renae Scaief, and Lesa Skiles, grandchildren: Reuben Phillips, Caleb Phillips, Jed Phillips, Luke Phillips, Mike Riddle, Hunter Skiles, and Lacey Smart, brothers: Doug Childress, and Benny Childress, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous loving other family members and friends.
