Raymond D Henry, age 61, of Rootstown township passed away after a short illness on February 23,2020 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1958 to Wilbur and Ina (Coleman) Henry. Ray is survived by his Wife Karen (Stasel) Henry. They were married on June 23, 2000. His Mother; Ina Coleman Henry, a Son; Joshua (Lydia) Henry. Two Sisters; Kim (David) Stormer and Kay (Joseph) Repasky. A Brother; Jim Henry. A Grand-Daughter Rylee Jo Henry. Many Nieces and Nephews. Also his fur-baby companions; Daisy, Otis, Allie, and Smokie. Ray was preceded in death by: his Father; Wilbur Henry and a Daughter Jessica Henry. Ray worked for several years as an electrician at UH Portage Medical Center formally Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was currently employed as an inspector for Simplex Grinnell (Johnson Controls). He was a hard worker. Ray will fondly be remembered for his hippie appearance with his signature ponytail. He enjoyed camping and helping others at the campground. He was a NASCAR, Indians, and Browns fan. He also enjoyed working on cars. Ray received the most joy from spending time with his Grand- Daughter, Rylee. Her presence made Ray a brighter person. Per his request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held March 7, 2020 at 11am at Tallmadge United Methodist Church at 207 N. Munroe Road Tallmadge, with Rev Scott Low officiating. Friends and family may call from 10:15-11am at the church. Inurnment will take place at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield following the service.
