Profound sympathy and regret are expressed throughout this community for the bereaved family in the death of Reba Craig, which occurred at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the administration building of the Oneida County Home in Rome, where the family move two years ago when Mr. Craig became bookkeeper of the institution under Superintendent W. W. Elden.

Reba was a most lovable girl, and was born in this village June 11, 1893. She possessed a remarkably even temperament, a sweet, genial disposition, and wherever known won a ready place in the hearts of admiring friends both young and old. She had been in poor health for many months and had been confined to her bed since December. Her death is a severe blow to the doting parents, and the only surviving sister, Mrs. Geo. M Budlong of Batavia. During her life here deceased was an attendant of the Presbyterian church and a member of its Sunday School.

The remains were brought to Camden Monday afternoon, and taken to the family residence on Fourth St. where the funeral was held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon Rev. W. P. Moodv officiated, and selections were rendered by Mrs. O. P. Phillips. The attendance was large, and the many friends from Rome and the beautiful floral pieces were touching tributes, stronger than words. Among the flowers were conspictous beautiful pieces from Rome Free Academy, those associated in the care of the Oneida County Home, from the Sunday School in Rome and an elaborate bank of lilies from a dozen of young ladies and gentlemen in whose social circle she moved in the city. Her remains were laid in the family plot in Forest Park Cemetery, the bearers being, E. T. Maloney, Ray Williams, Daniel C. Batchelor of Camden, Fred Race, Stewart Caddick and Ray Williams of Rome.

Among those from out of town attending the services were Dr. and Mrs. Geo. M. Budlong and infant daughter of Batavia, Mrs. Geo. B. Russell of Canastota, Mrs. Geo. Snow, Mrs. George Williams, Mrs. Owen Hughes. Mrs. Abner Audas, Mrs. Harry Ingraham, Mrs. W. W Biden, Mrs. Walter McAndrew, Edward Rae, E. J. Hughes, Rodney Kent, Fred Kent, W. L. Plunkett, Jas. Larkin, M. T. Burke, Miss Clara Karlen, Misses Bessie and Florence Wheeler, Fred Race, Ray Williams, Stewart Caddick, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Groff and Timothy O'Shea of Rome.
