Louis Elden Anderson, age 88, of St. Johns, MI, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Pilgrim United Methodist Church, 2965 West Parks Road, St. Johns, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, with Pastor Andy Croel officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral at the church.

He was born January 11th, 1934, in St. Johns, Michigan, the son of Clyde and Rilla Anderson. He married Norita Bebow on February 22, 1975 in St. Johns, MI. Louie was a member of Pilgrim United Methodist Church.

He served proudly in the United States Navy from 1952-1956, was a member of North-South Skirmish Association (NSSA), Hub Antique Car Club, he was a master carpenter and truly enjoyed building things for his family. He was an avid sportsman loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, he loved his annual trips to the U.P. and wintered in Florida for 19 years.

He is survived by Norita Anderson; his children: Debbie (Ken) Kight, Craig (Carolyn) Smith, Bryan (Ellie) Smith, Julie (Jeff) Brown, and Louis "Sonny" Anderson; grandchildren: Josh Smith, Andrea Kight, Michael Brown, Amanda Kight, Alexis Hagan, Lindsey Scott, Kayli Ferrara, Samantha Schumacher, Teresa, Brandon, and Michael Anderson; eleven great-grandchildren; and siblings: Helen Todd, and Earl Anderson, sister-in-law Lavoyda Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his children: Roger Anderson, and Beth Anderson; grandson Brent Brown; siblings: Wanda Ryan, Adelbert Anderson, Sam Anderson, Carol Wallace, Lois Glass, and Hilda Bancroft.
