CALLED HOME
Woody M. Alexander died at his home here Friday morning. His brother, Mona Alexander, died at the George Searle home early Saturday morning. They are the first victims of influenza in this section. The brothers had been out rounding up cattle in Indian Canyon, and both were caught in several storms--in fact, they hadn't had any dry clothes for four days. They both took sick but tried to fight if off. But finally they had to gve up and were brought here Tuesday, but the influenza developed pneumonia and the end came as stated above.
Woody Alexander leaves a wife, formerly Miss Sadie Hancock and six children and last fall moved into the J. M. Russell residence. He was well and favorably known all through this section.
Mona Alexander had a home in Hancock Cove. He married Lottie Timothy of Altonah about eight years ago. To this union three children were born. He was a kind neighbor and faithful friend.
The funeral took place Saturday evening about 6 o'clock. They were interred in the Roosevelt Cemetery.
