Angela Jackson
April 23, 1966 - March 12, 2020

Angela Jackson, 53, of Nashville, TN, and formerly of Charleston, MO died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

She is the daughter of Charles and Ann Welch Jackson and the granddaughter of Joseph and Imogene Jackson and Victor and Lucille Welch of Charleston.

Mary Angela Jackson was born April 23, 1966 in Sikeston, Mo. Surviving in addition to her parents is her beloved dog, Cookie and a great number of friends.

A 1984 graduate of Charleston High School, she attended University of Missouri – Columbia with a BA in Business & Communication and was a sorority member of Pi Beta Phi. She also graduated from Palomar College – San Diego,CA with a degree in Interior Design.

She lived 18 years in Los Angeles, working in the interior design & textile trade. She was currently working as a designer consultant and representative for Lighthouse Lighting of Nashville. Angela’s hobbies were her passions.

She adored not just traveling the world, but experiencing life. She had an insatiable curiosity to see and learn new things. She loved trying her hat at everything - with 100% determination-from taekwondo, playing the violin, short story & lyric writing, skeet shooting, boxing, fencing, parachuting and actually ended up being an excellent golfer.

Angela loved going to concerts and had an eclectic taste in music. She loved to dance, lip-sync, act, and if there were ever an occasion to dress up, Angela did. And Boy did she! (Anyone who knew her, knows Halloween was her favorite holiday.)

She had a soft spot for animals, donating money and time to rescue & relief efforts.

Angela loved her old friends, never losing touch with them. But she continuously made new and beautiful friends along her journey. She was above all true to herself.

She excelled in style - by a mile- Classic and original like none other.

Her vivacious energy and “tell-it-like-it-is” spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her deeply.

Shine on, Angela. Our precious Diva.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO.

Please come prepared to share a special memory of Angela.
