Actor. Best known for his work on "The Carol Burnette Show" and "Wonder Woman." A former model, he was a popular guest star on television shows in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Gunsmoke;" "Lost in Space;" "Marcus Welby, M.D.;" "Charlie's Angels;" "Mork & Mindy;" "The Love Boat;" "Fantasy Island;" and "Happy Days." In 1967 he joined the cast of the CBS television comedy series "The Carol Burnett Show." For seven seasons, he acted as the announcer on the show and played a variety of roles, usually playing a handsome man opposite Carol Burnett's infatuated character. After appearing in 163 episodes, he left in 1974 and in 1975 he was cast as Major Steve Trevor opposite Lynda Carter in the ABC television series "Wonder Woman" based on the DC Comics superhero. The series was subsequently moved to CBS with a new title, "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman," and the setting was fast forwarded thirty-five years from World War II to the then current day 1970s. He was recast as Major Trevor's son, Colonel Steve Trevor, Jr., a role he kept until the series ended in 1979. From the 1980s through 2005, he continued to guest star on various television shows and act in made-for-television movies. In 1973 he became the first seminude centerfold for "Playgirl" magazine and in 1976 he was appointed the honorary Mayor of Encino, California. In 1979 he founded Star Waggons to provide custom trailer locations for the entertainment industry.
