He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Francis Russell.
Paul is survived by his son, Michael (Amy) Russell; siblings, Michelle (John) Brun, Lisa Harville and Brian "Neil" (Tina) Russell; his son’s mother, Lorelei Schroll as well as nieces and nephew, Courtney, Morgan, Britney, Brooklyn and Boston and many friends.
Greg was a 1975 graduate of Wayne High School and Montgomery County Joint Vocational. He began his career in an auto-body shop before beginning employment with Premier Rubber in the 80’s. Later he was employed by U-Haul where he began to work in the fiberglass industry. This skill served him well as he also worked in the field at Captain’s Cove in Louisville, KY, Skid-Do Industries, A&B Composites, KL Industries and most recently for Industrial Fiberglass in Dayton as well as a good bit of side work for Airplane Plastics.
Greg was a member of Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and MVRCC. Throughout his life he enjoyed many activities including model planes, remote control UAVs and target shooting. Greg had also taught for a short time at Cedarville University automotive body creation for their engineering department. He accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 12 at Faith Baptist Church and attended Apex Community Church. Greg will always be remembered by those who loved him and enjoyed his company.
Family will receive guests from 10:00-11:00 am Monday, March 23, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home – KETTERING. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home before processing to Bearcreek Cemetery for burial.
