He is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Portwood, of Gonzales, Katherine and Harold Thomas, of Franklinton, Patsy Robinson, of Gonzales, and Diane and Deacon Jerry Braud, of Sorrento; four sons and three daughters-in-law, John L. and Mary Louise Templet and Larry and Carol Templet, all of Gonzales, Terry and Jan Templet, of Lake, and Treville Templet, of Gonzales; a sister, Laura Grior, of Houma; 25 grandchildren, Mary Lynn, John L. Jr., Gerald, Karen, Dale, Lawry, Tama, Tara, Bart, Shea, Jobi, Kim, Clint, Frankie, Greg, Donna, Trudi, Stacy, Harold Jr., Shelia, Debbie, Leslie, Gabe, Scotty and Brandi; 55 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Antoinette Becnel Templet; parents, Sidney and Cornelia Daigle Templet, who were of St. Amant; his sister, Edna "Nan" Babin; and his brother, Sidney Templet Jr.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Special thanks to Dr. John Fraiche, Dr. Carl Luikart and St. Joseph Hospice, especially nurse Dawn Lowe.
