Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Darrell’s life will be cherished by his wife Edna; sons Joshua and Brandon; grandchildren, Joshua, William, Kylie, and Mason; sister, Wanda Jean Hicks (Homan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Edison and Wanda Hicks, Darrell was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Ray Hicks.

Darrell was born on February 9, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, he was the son of the late Edison and Wanda Hicks. He served his country in the United States Army from 1977-1981. He was retired from ConAgra and the Missouri Department of Mental Health. On May 23, 1986, Darrell married Edna Jean Riley. Together, they raised two sons. In his spare time, Darrell enjoyed camping and fishing.

Darrell’s life will be cherished by his wife Edna; sons Joshua and Brandon; grandchildren, Joshua, William, Kylie, and Mason; sister, Wanda Jean Hicks (Homan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Ray Hicks.
