Billy Gene Holt, 82, of Auxvasse, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at University of Missouri Hospital.
Billy was born in Parma, Missouri on January 11, 1938, the son of the late Raymond Holt and the late Jesse (Pope) Holt.
Billy was united in marriage to Wanda Lee (Sobba) Holt and she survives his passing.
Billy was raised in southeast, Missouri. He worked for Missouri Department of Transportation for thirty-two years until his retirement.
Billy loved to ride his four-wheeler to the barn and do anything outside. The thing he loved most was spending time with his grandbabies. Billy enjoyed working on his old John Deere Tractors, farming and going to the station with his grandson on Saturday mornings to have coffee with the guys.
Billy is survived by his wife of sixty years, Wanda Holt of Auxvasse; children, David Holt of Auxvasse, Paula Cox (Bruce) of Auxvasse, Becky Holt (Larry) of Auxvasse; sister, Jeanette "Sissy" Rue of Hayti, Missouri; grandchildren, Cassandra Cox, Tyler Wilson (Emily), Courteney Cox and Taylor Holt (Curtis); great-grandchildren, Blaine Robinson, Ayden Cundy, Atleigh McCarty and Ryder Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by siblings, Clifford, Henry, Jerry James "Bigum" and Sarah.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Paul Klepees officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the funeral home. Internment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
