She was the daughter of the late Shafter & Martha Ross Becknell. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards is survived by one son: Mr. Donnie Edwards & wife Peggy of Georgetown, KY, three daughters: Mrs. Wanda Edwards of Richmond, KY, Mrs. Shannon Long of London, KY & Mrs. Kathy King of Tyner, KY, six grandchildren: Ms. Sandra King of Lexington, KY, Mr. David & Mr. Danny King of Tyner, KY, Mr. Eric Long & wife Jezami of London, KY, Mrs. Ashley Ackerman & husband Dave of Georgetown, KY & Ms. Erica Long of Lexington, KY, five great-grandchildren: Cruz, Oaklee & Case Long of London, KY, Colton & Elyanna Ackerman of Georgetown, KY, three brothers: Mr. Ronnie Becknell & wife Karen of Jackson Co. Ky, Mr. Randall Becknell & wife Jean of Manchester, KY & Mr. Max Becknell & wife Shirley of Bowling Green, KY. Also there are several other relatives & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Shafter & Martha Becknell, her husband: Clifton Edwards, a grand-daughter: Latoyia Edwards, two son-in-laws: Johnny Long & Denver King & two brothers: Coylee & E. C. Becknell. Funeral services for Mrs. Edwards were held Sunday, Mar. 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Visitation was at 11:00 AM at the Searcy & Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the services was the Rev.
