Donna E. Peterson, 84, Minot, ND, passed away, Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Somerset Court in Minot, ND.
Donna Eva Nielsen was born March 4, 1936, to Andrew and Alma (Jensen) Nielsen in Westhope, ND.
Donna was once married to Dale Adams. From this union, three children, Randy, Kristy and Kathryn, were born.
She married Marvin Johnson and they resided in New Town until his death.
In 1982, she married Dale Peterson. They had 27 wonderful years together. Dale passed away in 2009.
Donna dedicated many volunteer hours to the community specifically to Trinity Hospital. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Trinity Auxiliary. Donna made and donated around 700 baby caps to the Trinity Nursery and also made and donated many Prayer Shawls to Trinity Hospital. She also enjoyed cross stitching. She had a zest for life. She loved to play penny slots with friends. She was always a winner!
Surviving family includes: her children, Randy Adams and family and Kristy Pritchard and her family; step-children, Barbara Deraas and her family, Patricia Olson and her family; Davis Peterson and his family; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephew, Richard (Bonnie) Nielsen and Jerry Hegdahl, nieces, Marie Nielsen, LaDonna Carlile and Marlyce Wilkerson; grandnephew, Jason Nielsen and his partner Mary.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Kathryn; husbands, Dale Peterson and Marvin Johnson; and her 5 siblings, Melvin (Inez) Nielsen, Gladys (Dick) Hegdahl, Albert (Margaret) Nielsen, Ivan (June) Nielsen, and Marion (Harley) Spencer.
