Laura Jean Davenport (nee Alfred), age 60, passed away on February 25th 2016 peacefully, at her home in Oxford Ohio. She was born April 8th 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio to Clinton and Wanda Alfred. She is preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Charles “Ed” Davenport, and both paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Daniel “Dan” Davenport, her mother-in-law Delina Davenport; children Sjon Davenport, Mathew Davenport, and Jerhamy Davenport; her step children Michael “Mike” Davenport and Shauna Davenport as well as 2 daughter-in-laws Jennifer and Stephanie Davenport; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
As well as being a full-time wife and mother, Laura drove a school bus for Talawanda School District of Oxford Ohio. To this day all of her students remember her and that’s because of Laura’s personality. She will be remembered and missed by all.
Laura was the most caring and loving person you could ever meet. She always had a kind word to say to everybody and a laugh to share as well. Everyone who has ever been a part of Laura’s life will miss her every day they’re here without her. Her beauty radiated inside and out and touched anyone lucky enough to be a part of her life.
As well as being a full-time wife and mother, Laura drove a school bus for Talawanda School District of Oxford Ohio. To this day all of her students remember her and that’s because of Laura’s personality. She will be remembered and missed by all.
