Ronnie Miller, 71, of Lake Mexia, met his maker in Heaven on March 14, 2020 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Don Ellis, officiating. Interment will follow at Wortham Cemetery. Family visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Ronnie was born on September 17, 1948 in Corsicana, Texas to Buddy & Eva Miller. He was a 1956 graduate of Mexia High School and then went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard. By trade, he was an excellent carpenter. He loved fishing, hunting, all animals and anything outdoors. He was very proud to have helped over the course of his life with many local benefits, putting his talents to use for the good of his community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy & Eva Miller. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Smith-Miller; children, Marty Rogers, Shannon Rogers, Ruben Rodriguez, Jennifer Newberry & Brandi Smith; sisters, Joan Roberts and Kay Ellis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and his fur kids, Casper, Paris, Rascal and Scooter-Pooter.

The family ask that contributions in Ronnie’s memory be made the Wortham Cemetery Association.
