He is survived by his mother and step-father, Donna (Paul) Haberstroh; maternal-grandmother, Juanita "Pete" Pieper; one brother, John (Barb) Machalek; three sisters, Deanna (T.J.) Sharley, Holly (Troy) Faries, and Heather Haberstroh; one nephew, Andrew; four nieces, Miranda, Alexa, Shana, and Natalie; one aunt, Sharon Dean; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services: Celebration of Life Gathering at SHEPARD FUNERAL CHAPEL, 9255 Natural Bridge Road at I-170, St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, March 19 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Michael's family requests donations in his memory to National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI helps provide support, education and advocacy to thousands of people living with mental illness in the St. Louis Area and across the State of Missouri.
