She was born December 21, 1955 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Charles Richard and Mary Nell Griggs Chadwick. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly King, sister, Mary Evelyn Curtis, brother, Charles “Pete” Chadwick.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell Gibson of the residence, daughter and son-in-law, Kara and Wesley Currin of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane and Glenn Flood of Chatsworth, GA, Caren and Ralph Brooks of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Austin Mitchell, Bailey King, Allison Currin, Andrew Currin, Mason King; great grandchildren, Cayden, Skyler, Madilyn, Parker; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Debbie Jean Gibson will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Harold Poteet officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
