Henry Lee Douglas, 84, passed away March 15, 2020, in Jonesboro, AR. Henry was born August 17, 1935 in Newport, AR to Nora (Perring) and Henry Douglas. He married Mildred Merline Cooper on October 24, 1954.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife Merline, his mother and father, Nora and Henry Douglas, one daughter, Tonya Ferguson, one grandson, Donnie Ferguson, one granddaughter Amanda Ponder, and three sisters.
He is survived by one daughter, Sonya Douglas, one son Eric Douglas (Jennifer), six grandchildren, Sara Miller (Charles), Ryan Ponder (Ariana), Robert Ponder, Chole Lane, Taylor McMillan (Jack), Jon Douglas, six great grandchildren; Kendall Cooley, Dakota Ponder, Donnie Ponder, Ethan McMillan, Faith Miller, Samatha Miller, and one sister Helen Sharp.
Henry was a truck driver for many years of his life. He enjoyed his grandchildren, the area coffee shop of Tuckerman with his friends. He was honored to be part of the Masonic Lodge for many years. He served in both the US Navy and US Air Force. Henry stood very firm for his country.
Graveside services will be 2:00 Monday, March 16, at the Gracelawn Cemetery.
