Nancy “Button” Young Spaulding, age64, a New Castle resident passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her residence.
She was born February 24, 1956 in New Castle, IN a daughter of Charles Clarence Young and Mae Dell Young.
Buttons was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and Indiana University in Bloomington, IN with a degree in Nursing. She was a Cheerleader at I.U. Her most recent work as a registered nurse was in the area of Hospice Care. She loved family activities and camping.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her husband of 16 years Scott Spaulding. 2 sons Joshua J. Blattner of Florida, Whitney V. Blattner (wife Robbin) of New Castle, IN. 2 step children Emma Spaulding of Indianapolis, Cody Spaulding of Greencastle, IN. Several grandchildren including Shelbi and Jaycee Blattner, Brandi and Kristafer Carnes all of New Castle. 1 brother Billy Young of New Castle. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Juanita “Tiny” Johnson, and Brenda Showalter. 1 brother Mike Young. 2 nephews Jason Young and Jeff Showalter.
Funeral service will be private and there will be no visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to Macer-Hall Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home Main Street Chapel.
