Westport - YOUNG, Holly Jeanette. Age 67, of Westport, Massachusetts died on Sunday, March 1, 2020 after a brief but sudden illness. She was the daughter of Stanley and Marilyn Young (Pennington) of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and is survived by her husband Michael Woodhouse, her daughters Blair Connolly of South Hamilton, MA and Farrell Hall of Mill Valley, CA, and her siblings Wayne Young, Jane Young, Merry McNierny (Young), and Stanley Young. Holly was the beloved grandmother of five grandsons, Nolan and Graeme Connolly, Burke and Chase Hall, and Hayes O'Mara; and a beloved aunt to her eight nieces and nephews.

Holly attended High School in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and subsequently graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1975 following which she pursued a career in advertising and marketing achieving success as the senior marketing executive for several national restaurant brands, later forming her own consulting firm in Boston. When Holly retired, she was able to pursue her passion for design and working with fabric both as a Master Seamstress and as a creator of naturally dyed fabrics. Holly was a lifelong rescuer of dogs, providing a loving home for a variety of canine friends over many years. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing the world with friends and family. Her ultimate travel ambition was to visit every country in the world with a name ending in "a" most recently adding Cambodia to her record. In the past few years she had yet another outlet for her abundant talent and energy when she discovered a passion for grandparenting and she was looking forward to the arrival of a sixth grandchild in June.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family and extensive circle of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 20th at 10 a.m.at St John's Episcopal Church, 1 Hudson Street, Yonkers New York. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Avenue, Bronx New York for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Holly's name to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or The Animal Rescue League of Boston.
