Albert Preston "Abb" (1870-1950)
Docia (? - ?)

Papa was a soldier with the 11th South Carolina Infantry, Co. I. Capt. E.S.P. Bellinger's Co. (Colleton Guards) attached to the 9th Reg't South Carolina Infantry. He was captured at Petersburg, VA in June 1864 and was first taken to Fortress Monroe then transferred to Point Lookout and finally taken to Elmira Prison in New York state. His prison records show that he left Elmira on a prisoner exchange program after a brief stay there.
