"Frieda E. Williams was born April 24, 1928 on the homestead in Kinsey, Mont. She was the fifth of eight siblings born to Arthur and Louise Scheibel. As a young woman, she moved to Tacoma, Wash. and became a purchasing agent for Keizer Aluminum. In 1953 she was married to Bill Taylor. Together they had two children, Lori and Bryan. She was widowed in 1958 and remarried in 1960 to Bill Williams of Silverton, Ore. Lori and Bryan were joined by Bill's children, Dianne and Sherry. Yours and mine became ours with the addition of Lynne and Marsha. Aside from raising six children, Frieda enjoyed gardening, canning, bowling, and was an active member of the St. Edward's Episcopal Church. She made homemade pickles for the church's Oktoberfest booth each year. Frieda became well known for providing incredible dips and dairy treats for Oregon Dairy Associations annual meetings and gatherings. Bill and Frieda volunteered this service to ODA for over 30 years. They also enjoyed traveling, dancing, and family get togethers. Frieda is survived by her five daughters, Dianne and Ernie Gaub, Jr. of Keizer, Ore., Sherry and Steve May of Silverton, Ore., Lori Kessler of Keizer, Ore., Lynne and Kurt Sacher of Silverton, Ore. and Marsha & Mike Cramer of Silverton, Ore. She was grandmother to Denise Gaub-Robinett, Scott May, Todd May, Bridgette May-Johnson and Christopher May, Amanda Kessler, Katelyn Kessler, Llyssa Cramer, Trevor Cramer, Cody Sacher and Bridger Sacher. Frieda also had five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Taylor in 1958 and Bill Williams in 2002; her sister, Elizabeth Wheadon; her son, Bryan Taylor in 1983 and a granddaughter, Terisa Gaub in 1993.

None of these events could have taken place in Frieda's life if her Father had not survived the sinking of the Titanic!!

Frieda died of cancer peacefully at home attended by her daughters and family. Contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society or Willamette Valley Hospice."
