Mr. Willard June Powell, Sr. age 72, born in Jones County, Mississippi and a resident of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette, Alabama died Friday, August 3, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Mr. Powell retired from International Paper Company and worked in the maintenance department.
He is survived by: His wife: Edna Lou (Pilgrim) Powell, White House Fork, 2 Sons: Willard Powell, Jr., Satsuma, AL and Jerry Wayne Powell, Saraland, AL., 4 Grandchildren: Miranda Michelle Powell, Ashley June Powell, Jessica Powell and Brittany James. His sister: Linda Kay (Jimmy) Rawls, Collins, MS. and his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Frances Pilgrim, Jackson, MS., James and Gladys Pilgrim, Columbia, SC., Dorothy Carolyn Pilgrim, Mobile, AL., Ervin and Mary Yates, Laurel, MS, Thomas Pilgrim, Laurel, MS, Dorothy Brownlee, Ellisville, MS and Johnny and Brenda Pilgrim, Big Creek, MS.
The funeral service will be held Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the White House Fork Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at White House Fork Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
