Kathleen Laxton, 91, passed away at Good Samaritan Society in Indianola, June 2nd, 2016. Services will be held at a later date in Scott County, Tennessee and she will be buried with her husband of 54 years at the Laxton Cemetery in Tennessee. Kathleen was born February 23rd, 1925 in Oneida, Tennessee and moved to Des Moines where she made her home of 60 years. She is survived by her children, Ira (Nancy) Laxton of Indianola; Sandra (Craig) Bassett of Waukee, and Terry (Debbie) Laxton of Tampa, Florida; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman, daughter Kathy and granddaughter Stacy. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Good Samaritan Society, 708 S Jefferson Way, Indianola, Iowa or to the family at 8500 Nevada St. Indianola, Iowa.
