July 20, 1972 - March 7, 2020

Patrick Benjamin "Mitch"Mitchell, 47, passed away suddenly on March 7th ,2020 at his home in Knoxville TN.

Mitch was born in Rutland Vermont and was raised in Cabot Vermont.

He joined the United States Army at age 17 and served for 27 years before retiring as Sargent First Class.

He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, telling stories, but most of all spending time with his family.

Mitch was a faithful husband, dedicated father and a doting Papa. He was a force of nature with a giant personality that left an impression on anyone who met him.

He is preceded in his death by his grandmother Doris Mitchell and his sister Michelle Vandenburg.

Mitch is survived by his wife of 25 year Sherri Mitchell, , son Patrick and fiancé Jackie Barnes, son Jacob, daughter Mariah and 2 grandchildren Braizon and Aralyn; parents Don and Beverly Mitchell of Cabot Vt; sisters Sheri Futrell Graber, Kristie Jordan, Cathie Martino; brother Michael Vandenburg as well as several nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday March 16, 2020 at Click Funeral Home on Middlebrook Chapel with a Celebration Of Life to follow at 11 a.m. Family and Friends will gather at 2 p.m. on Monday at the East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery on Governor John Sevier Highway for graveside services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to scholarship fund for his children’s education
