Martha Ann "Mattie" Rone, 15th child of 17, born to Matthew L. Rone. Her mother was Matthew's 2nd wife Martha Holman. Mattie married William L. "Bud" Chastain on April 5, 1884. He was born April 20, 1859 in Harrison Co., Mo. and died March 13, 1926 buried Barron Cem.
They were the parents of six children:
1. Martha E. "Mattie"
2. Georgia L., died at age 4
3. Laura, born July 1886, married James "Jim" Hendricks
4. Amanda J.,born Oct 1889, married James B. "Jim" Hensley. Parents of; Ruth J., Wm Baxter, Jennie I., Leta G.
5. Rosa Lee, born April 1891, married Sam Browning.
6. Geneva, born Nov. 18, 1898, died one day later.
