Mrs. Beverly Darlene Carter of Williamstown, KY. passed away at home on Friday, March 13 at the age of 76. Mrs. Carter was born November 18, 1943 in Lebanon, OH. to the late Ward Lee Jenkins and Mildred Pauline Rhodus Jenkins. Mrs. Carter was a retired waitress and worked for many years at the Freeway Restaurant in Corinth. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Stewartsville Baptist Church and was formerly a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where she was an assistant GA leader. Mrs. Carter was a former PTA President and in her free time she enjoyed bingo, dancing especially clog dancing, all types of crafts including ceramics and macrame. She also liked to read, draw and paint. She is especially remembered by her family for her love of cleaning and pride in keeping everything spotless.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carter is preceded in death by a sister: Laura JoAnn Conway and also preceded by brothers: Rob Jenkins and Gary Jenkins.
Mrs. Carter is survived by 2 daughters: Lavon Powell of Corinth, KY., Lisa Browning and her husband Lee of Catoosa, OK., 2 sons: Jamie Howell of Ghent, KY., Gregory Howell of Ghent, KY., a sister: Sondra Hudgins of Owenton, KY., 2 brothers: Price Jenkins of Crittenden, KY., Dan Jenkins of Warsaw, KY., 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Darlene Carter will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, March 18 in the chapel of the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main Street, Williamstown, KY. 41097 with Rev. Paul Marksberry officiating. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 17 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Corinth, KY.
