Lucille Bamford was born at home on December 24, 1915 in Idaho. She was the 4th of 6 siblings and lived in Idaho and Oregon as a child. She lived in Spokane WA as a young woman and married Claude Case in 1944. They lived in Norman and Forgan OK, and Wishram, LaCenter, and Lynden WA until Claude's death in 1977. As a widow, Lucille lived in Lynden WA, Junction City OR, and the Seattle area.
She was active in the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge as an Eastern Star member. She was a talented seamstress and cook, an avid reader and bridge player, a curious traveler, and most important a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In her final years, Alzheimer's slowly took her away from us bit by bit. We rejoice that she is finally at peace.
Memorial services will be held at the United Methodist Church, 500 14th Street, Lynden WA on January 11, 2017 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Cure Alzheimer's Fund (curealz.org).
Please share your condolences and memories in the online guestbook at www.gilliesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lynden
