GREER, SC - Linda Caldwell Wooten, 63, of 4470 Jordan Road, wife of Jimmy Wendell Wooten, died Saturday, June 24, 2006.
A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Reese and Loree Lister Caldwell, was a school nurse at Blue Ridge High School for eighteen years, formerly worked for the Greenville Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, worked for Dr. Helton and Griffin of Greer, Internal Medicine of Greenville, and was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Surviving also are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Eric and Renee Wooten and Neil and Millie Wooten, all of Greer; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Marion Smith of Greer; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Allie, Daniel, J. T., and Taylor Wooten; and brothers-in-law and spouses, Bud Jackson, Albert Smith, both of Greer; Elliot and Shirley Wooten, Tom and Judy Wooten, all of Greer.
Mrs. Wooten was predeceased by a granddaughter, Bethany Wooten; two sisters, Marlene Smith and Shirlene Jackson; and a half brother, Calvin Frady.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Eric Wooten. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary escort will be the Hannah Sunday School Class, Mr. Kenneth Southerlin, and the Blue Ridge High School Staff.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
