Ella Von Green, age 71, passed away in Colorado City on Sunday, March 1st, 2020.

Family Visitation is planned for Thursday, March 12th, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 13th, 2020 at 9:00 am at First Baptist Church, Colorado City, Texas 301 Chestnut St. Colorado City, Texas 79512 with Brother H. Reddic officiating, assisted by Reverend Floyd Green, Jr. and Sister Tarrilyn Faye Ross. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Mitchell County Cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born on February 15th, 1949 in Colorado City, Texas to Albert and Celoa Walthall. She was married to Charles E. Boone. Ella raised her 5 children in Colorado City, Texas. Teaching them to love each other and how to treat people with respect. Ella was able to do so with God’s love by sharing on her valuable life lessons, with her babies. She attended many different churches in her lifetime. She became a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Colorado City, Texas. She served faithfully as a member, in the choir and as the Youth Director. Her passion was helping others. She would always visit the sick, help the elderly and encourage the youth. Ella was a true Prayer Warrior, a pillar in our community. She loved to Praise God and sing. Her songs helped to heal many broken hearts. We will miss her walking the streets, with her cane and Praising God out loud.

She is survived by three sons, Drex Walthall, Derrick Boone and Eric Boone and wife Veronica, all of Colorado City, Texas; two daughters, Bonnie Lane and husband Rodney and Maria Walthall, both of Colorado City, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; brother, George "Tack" Walthall of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 5 sisters, Bessie Wright of Colorado City, Texas, Helen Divorce of Elk City, Oklahoma, Bertha McBride of Houston, Texas, Dorothy Blueford and husband Walter of Sweetwater, Texas and Connie Walthall of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Celoa (Butler) Walthall; brother, Jimmy Walthall; grandson, ReaKwon Boone and 2 granddaughters, Asia Lane and India Lane.
