Richard Franklin Farmer of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 19, 1940 at Parkin, Arkansas, the son of the late Bill and Beatrice Walker Farmer. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel Methodist Church, and was a supervisor at Centria. He enjoyed spending time with family and taking photos of them. He liked his plants, animals, and cleaning the pool. His always made sure he had a clean lawnmower and vehicles.

Mr. Farmer died Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, at the age 79. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest son, Rick Farmer; sisters, Pauline Fare and Linda Kay Hood.

Survivors: sons, Rodney (Deborah) Farmer of Prattsville; Randy Farmer of Parkin, Mitch (Penny) Watson of Spokane, Washington, Eric (Susan) Watson of Sheridan; grandchildren, Josh (Lindsey) Edwards, Jenna Lee (Joseph) House, Grace Watson, Jacob Farmer, Miles Watson, Nora Watson, great grandchildren, Judson House, Cash Edwards and one on the way, Jamison House; sisters, Billie Young of West Memphis; Joy Mae (James) Harrell of Proctor, Shirley (J.E.) Lambert of Jonesboro; mother of his children, Joyce Russell of Heber Springs and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Lyons and Bro. Mike Kilcrease officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Parkin Cemetery in Parkin Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are J.E. Lambert, James Harrell, Eldon Russell, Joe Payne, Eddie Lambert and Alan Harrell. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Collum and Vern Cardin.
