Betty was born in Monroe County, IN, on November 22, 1929, to the late Claude and Lucille (Curry) Martin. She attended Kirksville High School in Kirksville, IN. After high school, she married the love of her life, Joseph Goodman. They shared 48 wonderful years together and had 5 children. Betty loved the outdoors, mushroom hunting and fishing, almost as much as she loved spending time with her family, who were the center of her life. Betty was a beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by her loving family and many friends who loved her.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Goodman; her parents; 2 brothers, Joe and Leroy Martin; 2 sisters, Doris Summitt, and Janet Whaley; son, Steve Goodman; former daughter-in-law, Gina Goodman; and a grandson, Timmy Goodman.
