She is also predeceased by her husband Charles B. Abbott and a grandson Charles Michael Abbott. Shirley worked as a nursing assistant at Roman Eagle Nursing Home. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Peay; her sons, Charles E. Abbott and Gary Abbott (Wendy); six grandchildren.
