Levi William “Bud” Allen, 99, of Hannibal, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be John Bock, Robbie Kirk, Jeff Patton, Christopher Hays, Devin Kirk, Saige Tate, Dustin Bock, and Scott Hampton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Patton, Robert “Bob” Drew, Mark Hays, Kevin Tate, Ben Whelan, Benjamin Levi Patton, Steven Patton, and Matthew Patton.

Levi was born October 10, 1920, in Moscow Mills, Missouri to Price Pearl and Nancy Gertrude Barnes Allen.

He was married to Nancy Ellen Smiley on July 15, 1939 in Hannibal, Missouri.
She preceded him in death on April 15, 2013.

Levi grew up in Lincoln County. He lived in Martinsburg while his dad was Marshall. He moved to Bowling Green when he got married, later moving to Hannibal in 2013. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green, serving as Deacon at Second Baptist and Friendship Churches. As a child, Levi delivered Caper’s Weekly. He started working at the Brick Plant in Vandalia at the age of 16, and retired at age 65, in 1985. At one point, he also managed the Show-Me Lodge. Levi loved antique cars, and showing them. He enjoyed growing a garden and working on mowers and small engines.

Levi is survived by daughter, Caroline Allen-Drew Doss of Hannibal; sons-in-law, Robert “Bob” Drew and Dewayne Patton; eight grandchildren: Lisa Hays (Mark), Kim Bock (John), Marnie Tate (Kevin), Bobbi Hampton (Scott), Tammie Kirk, Steven Patton (Karen), Jeff Patton (Wanda), and Matthew Patton (Heather); fifteen great grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Linda Patton, son Billy Frank Allen, 4 sisters: Ruby, Vie, Berneal and Floy, a great-granddaughter Sasha Bock, and son-in-law Mike Doss.
