She was educated in the Sumter County School System and graduated with honors from Sumter County Comprehensive High School in Americus, Georgia. She attended Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia where she pursued her degree in Criminal Justice. She was employed with the Georgia Sheriff Youth Home in Lagrange, Georgia as a Den Mother.
She was a member of the Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia where she served on the Missionary Ministry and the Kitchen Committee.
She was married to Eugene Lamar Davis on December 22, 2012.
