Earl O. Thomas Jr, age 83, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in 1936 to Earl Sr and Zella Thomas in Bigfork, MN.

Earl grew up and attended school in Grand Rapids, MN. Earl enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1959-1962. Earl and Roberta Scovel were united in marriage on November 28, 1964 in Grand Rapids, where they made their home. Earl worked for many years at the Marcell Mill in Marcell, MN. He also worked as a logger in the area. Earl loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta; son, Richard; brothers, Gerald and Ronald Thomas; and sister, Deloris Smith.

Earl is survived by his sons: Timothy Lee Thomas, Michael William Thomas; sisters: Carol Jean Voigt, Martha Margret Bockoven; six grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
