Steven was born in Greene County, TN on June 1st, 1955 to his late parents, Vaughn Franklin and Alice Griffey Capps. He was employed with PLI Holdings in Asheville.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Moore (Lee Roy); brothers, Emerson Franklin (Jewell) and Merman Franklin (Delores); uncle, Joe Worley Griffey; nieces and nephews: Joe M. Franklin, Sherry Cantrell, Renae Hall, Andrea Gomiller, Robby Berry, Tony Berry, Scottie Thomas and Shane Moore; as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Griffey Family Cemetery with Reverend Willard Norton officiating.
