Howard faithfully served our country in the Army during WWII and the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He was a truck driver for Line Lexington Company in Colmar, PA and Triangle Lumber in Quakertown, PA before retiring in the 1990’s In retirement, he continued to drive for local businesses including the local bank, Napa auto parts, and Quakertown Ford-Mercury. He was a member of North Penn Gun Club and enjoyed baseball, softball, woodworking, hunting and watching the Phillies.
Survivors include three daughters, Velma Everwine (Robert) of Millville, NJ, Bonnie Jones of Louisiana, and Wanda Diehl of Reidsville, NC; one son, Robert Mitchell (Sharon) of Coopersburg, PA; one sister, Alberta Mininger of Franconia, PA; eight grandchildren, Stanley, Tara, Debbie, Keith, Michael, Kevin, Melissa, and Brandyn and ten great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica, Alexis, Claire, Amariah, Aiden, Alannah, Liam, Cooper and Avery.
You are invited to visit with Howard’s family and friends from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road Quakertown, Pennsylvania. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery, New Britain.
