OBITUARY:
Nikki Dawn Jones, 56, passed away at 12:17 PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Canyon, Texas on Friday, August 25th to the late Jack Edward and June Lanell Ward Jones. She was a graduate of West Texas University and, upon graduation, utilized her social work education by helping less fortunate individuals prior to embarking on her self-described life mission of bearing and raising 4 boys. Over the next three decades, she lived across the country including stints in Maryland, California, and throughout Texas. After 20 years of raising children, she went back to school and earned her Master's degree in Cross Cultural Studies at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She is survived by her children Joshua, Jacob, Zachary, and Jack Edward Thompson; her daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Melanie Thompson; her grandson Nathan Thompson; her brother Michael Jones; her niece and nephew Ben and Mandi Jones; as well as numerous friends that she continued to love, give, and support up to her death. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and June Jones; and sister Tiffany Jones. Per her request, a private service will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Nikki may be made in her name to the non-profit organization of your choice, as it is her preference to continue supporting others, even in death
